Community Feedback

Chef Maria Parra Cano and her family catered our wedding in 2016. The menu consisted of zesty nopalitos en mole rojo, plump quinoa salad with the lovingly three sisters (corn, squash and beans), hearty guacamole, tlaxcalli (tortillas) hechas a mano, and delicious jamaica to drink. For dessert, she shared decadent tamalitos of amaranth, pumpkin seeds and a smidge of honey (wrapped in corn husk). I cannot tell you how many people STILL tell my husband and I about how our wedding nourished them. Her delicate attention to detail and the incomparable heart she adds to her kitchen magic is nothing less than medicine for the people. Eating clean with Sana Sana is culturally appropriate and timeless.
